Hey!
Had such a great time with you and the crew tonight! Couldn’t find your email on the website but hope you get this message.
Gnight!

Hey,
I´m a friend of Anna, the aussie bicyclist that you rode with. She gave me your sight. My friend and I are on the road in guatemala and are thinking of running the moskito coast but are having doubts because of the coming rainy season. We´re on small dirtbikes? any advice?
your site is great.
jason
hi jason,
sorry for the delay, this one slipped through the net. I’m sure you can get the bikes on the lanchas, but the singletrack bits (brus to ahuas, and ahuas to mocoron or similar) have some tricky river crossings. You have to wade through with water up to your chest, and do a lot of pushing trough this forest – or at least at the time I was there, and for the route I took. I sent anna some notes today, so they could be useful if you go that way.
How light are these bikes? I can’t see it being a problem to boat all the way through – then getting back on the bikes in Puerto Lempira. There’s also cargo bikes to Lempira, from where it’s a rough dirt road all the way to Rio Blanco, Nicaragua.
There’s a long stretch on the beach, through sand, from iriona to batailla, which I guess your bikes are ok with?
Congrats on making it to Colombia. Arent the people fantastic!~hope you had a chance to read my book on my sister and I’s tour there, Riding the Guerrilla Highway, i believe i sent you the e-book after i met you in Moab last fall.
Hi, I’m interested in taking a voyage from Cartagena to the San Blas Islands and wonder if you can recommend the La Rebeldia, and the captain. How can I contact him?
I would definitely recommend the Rebeldia, but I’m afraid I don’t have the contact details. I believe the captain was planning on doing some more runs at some point, but perhaps not until next year.
What an absolutely amazing trip! I am in awe. And great photography. Wow…
